Coils Coils Coils!!!

One of my most frequently asked questions is how i do my hair in the coils. It is very easy, and if your hair is natural, you can wear it this way without locing it. I, however, use this method to start locs. I have loced 3 heads this way... I like it because it is a style that you can really keep your hands out of, and you really don't have to do anything to maintain it.

  1. Fauryn,
I am glad you did this video. I have been thinking about coiling my locs but I have only done Bantu Knots. I'm glad that you and your family are doing well! Baby girl is so freaking cute!

  2. Your daughter is beautiful! Wishing you and your family many blessings. I have a question, to start locs with coils do you just section and coil and then leave them for how long before you take them down and re coil them? Do they actually loc in the coiled state? How often were you shampooing your hair and did the hair come completely loose? Hope my questions don't sound crazy, just need clarification on the process. Peace and Blessings!

  3. Thank you!
All you do is coil them and leave them in. You don't have to do anything. I never really took them down, but if you feel like your hair itches or you just get the need to clean your scalp all you have to do is get some witch hazel, sea breeze or just something to refresh your scalp. I would do this about every 3 weeks to a month. I didn't do a real shampoo until about 6 months in, but yes they loc in the coiled state.
